    Catalytic Combustion: The Secret About Catalytic Combustion Equipment

    I. What is Catalytic Combustion
    The Principle of Catalytic Combustion
    At present, in view of the decomposition and purification of combustible exhaust gas under the action of catalyst at lower temperature, it is different from incineration method of incinerator. The incineration method has higher temperature. The catalytic temperature of catalytic combustion varies according to the different exhaust gases. Generally, it is about 250-500 degrees C. Yesterday, the general manager of Dongying consulted our company about the adoption of catalysis. Combustion is used to replace incinerator to treat related polluted waste gases. It is also considered that catalytic combustion is a relatively safe and effective waste gas treatment process.
    Catalytic combustion process
    The normal catalytic combustion process is three stages of adsorption-desorption-combustion. With the high efficiency of activated carbon in adsorbing exhaust gas, activated carbon is first used to adsorb organic exhaust gas, and then activated carbon is desorbed by high-temperature airflow. In this way, activated carbon can be recycled repeatedly to adsorb-desorb the process, and where to go the desorbed exhaust gas? The desorbed exhaust gas is concentrated, then sent to the catalytic combustion chamber for catalytic combustion decomposition and heat release, and then under the action of heat exchanger, the exhaust gas concentration can reach more than 2000 PPM, so that the exhaust gas can burn continuously in the combustion bed without additional heating. After catalytic combustion, a part of the exhaust gas is discharged into the atmosphere, and most of the exhaust gas is returned to the adsorption bed to desorb activated carbon, forming a reciprocating system, which can better provide the heat of adsorbing and desorbing catalysis for catalytic combustion equipment and more energy-saving, environmental protection and efficiency. Therefore, it is suggested that you use catalytic combustion equipment as soon as possible, saving time and effort, energy-saving and efficient, and affordable.

    2. What is the relationship between catalytic combustion, RCO and RTO?
    The Meaning of Nouns
    RTO, commonly referred to as regenerative incinerator equipment, is called "Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer" in English.
    RCO, also known as catalytic combustion equipment, is called "Regenerative Catalytic Oxidation" in English.
    So RCO is a catalytic combustion equipment using catalytic combustion method.
    Difference between RCO and RTO in Catalytic Combustion
    RTO needs to heat the organic waste gas to more than 760 degrees Celsius so that VOC in the waste gas can be oxidized and decomposed into carbon dioxide and water.
    Catalytic combustion RCO is a new catalytic technology. It has the advantages of RTO high efficiency energy recovery and low temperature operation of catalytic reaction. Its heat recovery rate is up to 95%. The key to the excellent performance of catalytic combustion RCO system is to use special noble metal or transition metal catalysts impregnated on saddle or honeycomb ceramics. The oxidation occurs at low temperature of 250-500 C. Catalytic combustion not only reduces fuel consumption, but also reduces equipment cost. Now our country has begun to use catalytic combustion RCO technology instead of CO technology to purify organic waste gas. Many RTO equipment has also begun to convert to catalytic combustion RCO, which can reduce operating costs by 33% - 50% (tapping the blackboard to draw the key points). The toxic HC compounds treated by catalytic combustion equipment are converted into non-toxic C O2 and hydrogen peroxide, thus the pollution is treated.

    3. What industries are catalytic combustion commonly used in?
    Because of its simple structure, high purification efficiency, energy saving and no secondary pollution, catalytic combustion RCO equipment has been widely used in the treatment of organic waste gases in wire processing, machinery, motor, chemical industry, instrumentation, automobile, engine, plastic coating, electrical appliances, petroleum, chemical industry, printing and dyeing industries.
    For example, benzene, ethanol and ethyl acetate in painting industry, triphenyl (benzene, toluene, xylene) and acetone in shoemaking industry, isopropanol, ethyl acetate and toluene in printing industry, and dichloromethane and trichloroethane adsorption and recovery in electronics industry. There are also hydrocarbons (aromatics, alkanes, olefins), oxygen-containing organic compounds (alcohols, ketones, organic acids, etc.), nitrogen, sulfur, halogens and phosphorus-containing organic compounds.

    4. What materials do catalytic combustion have on the market at present?
    At present, the materials of catalytic combustion equipment are generally galvanized sheet, 201 stainless steel and 304 stainless steel. Specific catalytic combustion equipment with different air volume and related matching can be referred to the following figure.

    5. How to choose catalytic combustion equipment?
    At present, there are a large number of counterfeit catalytic combustion equipments on the market which only absorb and do not burn, catalyze unsuccessfully or even explode. These products only imitate catalytic combustion highly in shape, and their internal configuration is greatly discounted. Counterfeit products will directly lead to the inadequate catalytic temperature and can not catalyze. The final effect is only to buy a large-scale catalytic combustion equipment. Activated carbon adsorption chamber. Real and cost-effective catalytic combustion equipment must be equipped with a separate heat exchanger, insulation layer, pneumatic valve, flameproof valve, temperature sensor, nitrogen flame retardant, fire control measures and other supporting devices. The catalytic combustion equipment produced by our company is equipped with plate heat exchanger and insulation layer and other related supporting devices.
    From the service life of catalytic combustion equipment, the best material is 304 stainless steel, followed by 201 stainless steel, slightly worse is galvanized sheet material, of course, the price is also quite different. The reasons are different purchase cost of raw materials, different thickness of steel used in customized production and different patent processing technology. Therefore, when choosing the equipment, the bosses must consider comprehensively the RCO equipment with the highest selectivity-to-price ratio.

    6. The difference between catalytic combustion integrated machine and catalytic combustion assembly machine.
    First of all, the traditional catalytic combustion assembly machine, in which the activated carbon adsorption chamber and catalytic combustion chamber are separated, needs to be assembled and installed, can not be used directly.as showncatalytic combustion
    From the diagram we can see that each device needs to be re-installed by skilled workers. It can be imagined that this will increase the installation cost and labor cost of your company. Generally, the construction period is 15-30 days, which requires 5-10 workers to cooperate with the installation. Roughly estimated cost will consume 100,000-200,000 extra expenses.
